Tech Monitor Roundtable: Deploying AI: Balancing Power, Performance and Place
Thursday, 18th Sep 2025
An English-language executive roundtable event for senior IT decision makers
Artificial intelligence (AI), in all its forms, remains the engine of innovation for most enterprise organisations. That’s the case whether those organisations have embarked on AI projects already or are still assessing where best to place their investment.
Smart deployment of AI – and generative AI (GenAI), in particular – promises to deliver efficiency savings and productivity gains, coupled with meaningful change that pushes at the limits of modernisation. It’s not just about doing things faster but doing things better, too. Or to put it another way, it’s about process reinvention as well as process optimisation.
AI deployment is not without its challenges, however. From platforms to software, and from infrastructure to the processors that power compute, there are decisions to be made, and trade-offs to consider. These include balancing efficiency and effectiveness – choosing whether to house workloads on-premise in the cloud and assessing when and where to deploy graphics processing units (GPUs) and when to rely on central processing units (CPUs).
To help make sense of the current environment, and to share best practice, Tech Monitor and AMD are inviting a select group of senior IT executives to a special evening of discussion and exploration. This roundtable dinner is part of a series of events taking place across Europe and the Middle East that put technology practitioners at the heart of the conversation.
As well as infrastructure experts from AMD, the evening will feature a senior subject matter expert from Silo AI, the largest private AI lab in Europe. Now part of AMD, Silo AI’s team of world-class AI scientists and engineers brings experience of creating cutting-edge AI models, platforms and solutions for large enterprise customers including Allianz, Philips, Rolls-Royce and Unilever.
Among the topics we’ll discuss:
